New Projects and Senior Editor at Touchpoint

By Jessica Disch

Greetings to all of our partners and friends!

So far, 2017 has been exciting for us here at Touchpoint Media. We’ve made an important addition to our team and have some new projects we’d like to tell you about.

New Projects
For the past several months, our designers and content creators have been working on revamping thrive., a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota member publication aimed at two different beneficiary groups. Just this week, we shipped off the first copies of the Spring 2017 issue. We’re very proud of this publication, and look forward to many more issues to come.

Recently, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) was in town for the Frozen Faceoff at the Target Center in Minneapolis. We’ve worked with the NCHC in the past, but this was our first year designing the official Frozen Faceoff program.

Additional Senior Editor Joins Touchpoint
Joining us at our Minneapolis office is Jake Weyer, Senior Editor. Prior to joining Touchpoint, Jake served as editorial director at 10 Missions Media, where he oversaw a team producing FenderBender, Ratchet+Wrench and Fixed Ops Business, three business-to-business titles serving the automotive aftermarket. He also worked as the assistant editor at the Southwest Journal and Downtown Journal in Minneapolis, and as a reporter for the Duluth News Tribune.

In his 15 years experience with regional and national media companies, Jake has been involved in the development, execution, and integration of reader engagement strategies across print and digital platforms, from the launch of new publications and associated websites to the development of e-newsletter campaigns and social media efforts.

On April 26, Jake will be speaking at the Minnesota Magazine and Publishing Association’s (MMPA) annual Summit & Expo on digital engagement, a testament to his skills, experience and industry reputation. Learn more about Jake on our blog.
